Job Description: Automation Engineer (Selenium)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with experience in Selenium to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test cases and automation strategies.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to integrate automated testing.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on defects and improvements.
- Ensure test automation frameworks follow best practices and are scalable.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in automation testing with Selenium WebDriver.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java / Python (preferred for test automation).
- Experience in writing test scripts using TestNG / JUnit.
- Knowledge of web application testing, including handling elements, waits, and dynamic objects.
- Familiarity with API automation testing (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.).
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience in cloud-based test automation (Selenium Grid, AWS Device Farm, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Experience in testing mobile applications (Appium).
