Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with expertise in Dropwizard, REST API development, and MySQL to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications with a focus on RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in Java development, hands-on experience with the Dropwizard framework, and proficiency in working with MySQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dropwizard Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the Dropwizard framework, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
2. REST API Development: Create and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different components of the application.
3. Database Management: Work with MySQL databases to design efficient schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity within the application.
4. Code Optimization: Review and optimize existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
6. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and contribute to the development of automated test suites to ensure the reliability of the code.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
8. Agile Development: Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience (3-5 years) in Java development with a focus on web applications.
3. Hands-on experience with the Dropwizard framework.
4. Proficiency in RESTful API development.
5. Solid understanding of MySQL database design and optimization.
6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
7. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
8. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
