Role Overview:
As a Customer DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective deployment, operation, and support of our cloud-based infrastructure and services. You will collaborate closely with our customers to optimize their cloud environments, implement best practices for monitoring and security, and provide valuable insights through data visualization and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement CloudTrail for auditing and compliance, ensuring clear visibility into user activity and system actions.
- Develop and maintain OpenSearch dashboards to provide intuitive visualizations based on log data, enabling stakeholders to gain actionable insights.
- Design Grafana dashboards to visualize metrics derived from various sources, facilitating proactive monitoring and performance optimization.
- Configure alerts and security detections to promptly identify and respond to potential issues or threats.
- Utilize Fluent D for efficient log shipping and monitoring, leveraging regex and JSON for effective data processing.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance log and metrics collection using tools like Kibana and Grafana.
- Continuously expand your expertise by learning and adopting new technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with customers to integrate our solutions effectively into their environments, providing technical guidance and support.
- Participate in discovery calls with clients, offering technical insights and making recommendations based on their needs.
- Contribute to the improvement of our platform by suggesting innovative solutions and enhancements.
- Perform technical follow-ups to ensure successful integration and ongoing support.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools and log shippers.
- Proficiency in creating and managing alerts and metrics in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Grafana for data visualization and monitoring.
- Ability to work with Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have).
- Experience with coding languages, especially Python, for automation and integration tasks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer) are advantageous.
