Job Summary: As a Senior Manager in Forex Risk Analysis/Consulting, you will deliver top-notch advisory services to clients, assisting them in managing FX risk effectively. Your role will involve analyzing the business and risk profile of corporate clients, devising tailored strategies for FX risk management, and providing ongoing support to the client's risk management team. This client-facing role requires significant interaction with each client's treasury team, CFO, and other stakeholders, as well as involvement in client acquisition and cross-selling of our services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Track financial markets, particularly FX and allied markets, and develop currency views and strategies for short and long tenors.
- Translate market insights into actionable hedging/trading strategies customized to specific client requirements.
- Sales and Client Relationship Management:
- Drive sales of Mecklai's services, including generating leads, pitching to clients, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming their trusted market risk support partner.
- End-to-End Client Management:
- Take responsibility for clients' accounts, including invoicing, renewals, fee increases, and enhancing service delivery quality.
- Conduct regular client communication meetings to understand their evolving needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Regional Development:
- Collaborate with branches in Bangalore and Chennai to expand Mecklai's presence in South India by acquiring new clients and enhancing services for existing ones.
- Travel frequently to the region to meet the team, existing clients, and prospects.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Participate in internal training sessions to share knowledge and insights with the team.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- MBA in Finance/CFA/FRM preferred.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in FX risk management or related field.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage and recruit staff.
- Expertise in currency markets and financial products such as forwards, options, and swaps.
- Ability to analyze and understand clients' business dynamics and provide tailored solutions.
- Proficiency in fundamental and technical analysis, as well as MS Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with internal teams and contributing to company growth.
