Description

This position seeks a creative and self-driven Informix/4GL Software Developer with extensive experience across various technologies and platforms, eager to join a diverse and multi-cultural software company. The selected individual will take on the responsibility of sustaining an established codebase, along with the exploration, resolution, and verification of current software issues.

Roles & Responsibilities

∙ Development of software on the IBM/Informix/4GL platform.

∙ Experience with Four Js Genero.

∙ Analyzing business requirements.

∙ Maintaining and enhancing applications.

∙ Conducting testing and documentation.

∙ Ensuring data operations are for legitimate purposes, safeguarding data confidentiality and security.

∙ Complying with national legal/statutory regulations and Softude's data processing policies.

∙ Authorizing and restricting information supply only to those permitted, ensuring requests are legitimate.

∙ Implementing and adhering to legal/statutory obligations, Softude's policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and controls.

∙ Protecting Softude's assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.

∙ Reporting security events, potential events, or risks to Softude.

∙ Maintaining security best practices in job performance and adhering to best practice frameworks within Softude.

Experience & Qualifications

5+ Year experience on relevant technologies.

Possession of a technical degree, ideally in (B.E/BTech, BCA, or MCA)

Development Efficiency: Track the time taken from coding start to code commit for new features or bug fixes. This includes measuring the efficiency in translating business requirements into functional software.

Productivity: Evaluate the number of code lines or functional units developed within a set timeframe. This can also include the number of tasks or tickets resolved.

Application Performance Improvement: Measure the improvement in application performance (e.g., response times, resource usage) resulting from the developer's optimizations and code changes.

Bug Discovery and Resolution Rate: Monitor the number of bugs discovered in the developer's code post-deployment and the speed at which these bugs are resolved.

Compliance with Project Timelines: Evaluate adherence to project deadlines and milestones, taking into account the timely delivery of development phases.

Innovation and Improvement Initiatives: Track contributions towards innovation, such as suggesting or implementing new technologies, tools, or practices that enhance productivity or product quality.

Team Collaboration and Support: Assess the developer's collaboration with team members, contribution to team knowledge sharing, and support in problem-solving.

Customer Satisfaction: If applicable, include feedback from end-users or internal stakeholders regarding the functionality, usability, and reliability of applications developed or maintained.

Professional Development: Measure the developer's engagement in professional growth activities, such as obtaining certifications, attending workshops, or learning new technologies relevant to Informix/4GL.

Security Compliance: Track adherence to security protocols and guidelines, including the secure coding practices, and the number of security flaws identified and addressed.
