We're a funded startup on a mission to disrupt the current big tech players dominating India. Our vision is to create a browser that not only meets the needs of Indian users but also provides them with a fun, rewarding and highly personalized experience all whilst maintaining privacy. We have a relatively flat organizational structure and this role will see you report directly to the VP of Engineering.
Veera (in stealth mode) is building a rewards based mobile platform, focused on the middle of the pyramid Indians. Our product is built on the world’s best tech stack and cuts across search, content, gaming, commerce and rewards. We have partnered with some of the largest consumer digital platforms, OEMs and content partners in India to provide a curated, hyper localized product that is a new category by itself. We are funded by a slew of blue-chip VCs globally and in India, as well as multiple reputed angels in the US, Asia and India.
Veera is a browser for India by Arjun Ghose (previously an investor with VC firm Falcon Edge / Alpha Wave and McKinsey), Rahul Pagdipati (Chairman of the Board Zebpay & Board Member at Brave browser), Aditya Julka (serial entrepreneur Founder of Paddle8, entrepreneur-in-residence at Harvard Business School) and Kanu Gupta (founding leadership of Goldman Sachs in India, serial investor).
As for the team you would be working directly with the CTO Sam Noble, worked in Germany, Irelan, Portugal as Global level CTO for multiple MNCs, and the Product Head is an ISB alumnus(Ex- Walmart, Swiggy,etc), so you would be working with a very competitive and well-networked team.
Positon Overview:
As a Data Analyst at Veera, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into ac/onable insights that inform key business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret data, providing valuable recommendations that enhance our overall performance and competitiveness in the market
Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Processing:
Collect, clean, and pre-process large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Implement data quality checks and valida/on procedures to maintain the integrity of our data.
Data Analysis:
Perform exploratory data analysis to iden/fy trends, pa3erns, and correla/ons in the data.
Conduct statistical analyses to extract meaningful insights and provide data-driven
recommendations.
Reporting and Visualization:
Create and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate key performance indicators
and trends to stakeholders.
Utilize visualization tools (e.g., ReDash, Tableau, Power BI) to present complex data in an
accessible and understandable format.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide
analytical support for decision-making processes.
Collaborate with Engineering and other func/ons to ensure data infrastructure meets
analytical needs.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis.
Propose and implement improvements to existing processes to enhance the efficiency and
effectiveness of data analysis activities.
Requirements:
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
3-5 years of proven & relevant experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., ReDash, Tableau, Power BI).
Exposure & Experience with Data Engineering is an added advantage
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Atention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collabora/vely within a
team.
